happy new year!

its a brand new year! 2013, a clean slate to start from. excited, yet worried too. it's an extremely important year and probably one that will cause me hell in just a matter of days. i had bbq with swwraar 3 days ago and it was really great! had loads of fun talking and singing and eating all the food that people cook. i still rmb the bbq we had 2 years ago at the same place and we were singing. suddenly, the security guard came and he was said, "can you turn your radio down?" then he left and we just stared at each other before bursting out into laughter. we were like "wow didn't know we sounded that professional man!" this time, security guard changed. we didn't really sing much anyway so we didn't get that. loved this time, at least better than my jc class gatherings. sometimes i feel like i just don't fit in and i just can't be bothered anymore. so anyway, we just talked a lot, went to play basketball after that. card game sessions, uno and daidee. so funny, dexter didn't know how to play uno. it was his first time playing it LOL. miss yeo popped by too! too bad mr toh couldn't make it. awesome time tgt. ytd, we met up at bryan's hse for countdown. i went there later at abt 9pm and the people there were watching tv.. playing daidee. pretty boring. until bryan came back with the rest. then, there was this scary moment. everyone was like shocked and i'm truly thankful to still be alive now. cos he went into the kitchen and he realised that the gas stove was not off. apparently, dexter went to cook instant noodles and he kinda forgot to turn it off? wth, everyone was like :o can you imagine what happened if like a telephone rang and the whole place exploded or we breathed in too much of the gas and we just passed out? all of us got paranoid. after awhile, things returned to normal and we were watching the movie 'The Vows'. pretty nice movie although pretty abrupt ending in my opinion. then during the movie there was this burning smell. then everyone panicked and quickly asked each other. soon after, we split up into card games like monopoly deal and daidee. played till it was time for countdown. then.. just as we were suppose to start playing polar bear tgt as a whole group, i had to leave. zz, so annoying! it was like the climax. yeah all of them went to stay over at loy's hse but i didn't really want to :/ screws your body up. my brother was downstairs and i left. oh i brought oreo cheesecake there! i went to try out this baked oreo cheesecake recipe that i found on the internet. all of them liked it and it was one of the foods that got finished really soon. *pats myself on the back* i still have some in my fridge! shall eat it tmr morning :) great news! my dad received a text message from my uncle, saying that my cousin abigail, has given birth to a baby girl today, 1st Jan at around 9am. WOO! then this evening, i went to visit her and kenneth in the hospital. her name is Chloe, and she is SO cute. beyond anything else!! can't wait to see her grow up! she has huge eyes and dimples! oh gosh, how pretty! in 2013, i will face life in a positive light (as much as possible) and do things more maturely. more importantly, spend more time for God each day even though i'm tired from school. that's it. kinda like my new year's resolution.
