God's whisper

"Oh how I love this child so much"

God gripped my heart when I was with a friend today. I was in total awe and felt God was looking at my friend with such intense desire and longing for her to know Him. May God reveal His glory and love to my friend, if it's God's desire it will be mine too. I'll be praying someday she will get to know the God who knew her even before she was knitted in her mother's womb. Do pray for me that I'll reach out to her as well!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A little update about my life.

I struggled with this statement: We love because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19 ESV)
I have not experienced this love firsthand that would blow me off my feet or an overwhelming feeling in my heart as I envisioned. How was I to love others if I can't feel how God loves me so much as He has claimed? Well, the answer is simple.

If God's love were to be felt, it would not be everlasting. Our emotions are constantly swayed by our experiences throughout the day just like the pendulum. How then is God's love experienced? It is nothing mind blowing, but stated very simply in the bible. God has mentioned numerous times how He loves us and cherishes us in the scripture:

God loved us so much He sent His Son to die in our place (1 John 4:10)

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

Nothing can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:38-39)

He has always loved us and always will. (Jeremiah 3:13)

So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. (1 John 4:16)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

God's love for us is crystal clear. It is our duty to meditate on the word and most importantly have faith in our Father that He indeed loves us more than our minds could ever fathom. Without faith, it is difficult to please the Lord. Faith is neither dependent on our emotions nor on our circumstances. When we are faced with down times, God's word stays constant. Never ever have the idea that you're insignificant, because God has paid such a huge price for each of you! God already made the first step to love us by giving His Son, we need to reciprocate this love and thank Him for loving when we are so unworthy.

I'm slowly digesting this information and understanding that the extent of God's love is truly out of this world as I'm writing this. I pray that may God's love stay fresh in our daily lives and we never take this precious love for granted.
