Saw the portion of the re-run of NDP where it showed a tribute of Mr Lee Kuan Yew. Tears filled my eyes and an anguish in my heart, resembling of when a close relative passes away. I'm just so thankful to Mr Lee for everything he's done for Singapore..

He never gave up when everyone told him Singapore would not have made it.
He never believed Singapore couldn't stand on her feet.
He was determined to transform Singapore to a developed and educated nation.
His only goal in life was to improve Singaporean's lives.
That was all he fought for in his life.

It is true that we will never see someone with the same drive, determination, grit, charisma and foresightedness as Mr Lee. As the next generation, we would have to fight for our own future and have the same spirit as Mr Lee and his generation. Don't wait for things to happen, but let's make this society a better place to live in. Everyone deserves a bit more love and smiles.

Why make things difficult for each other when we are on the same boat? It's truly a pity that we pit ourselves against each other when in light of global issues, nations face instability and I'm sure they would GLADLY take our position anytime. Don't take the stability in our society for granted, it's a massive blessing that is few and far between in this world.

I'm not ashamed to say that I love this country dearly, and I wouldn't let anyone despise what we are blessed with. We were not meant to be a country, but we did. Let's be proud.
