Job 42:1-6
Then Job replied to the Lord:
I know that you can do all things,
no plan of yours can be thwarted.
You asked, 'Who is this that obscures
my counsel without knowledge?'
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know.
You said, 'Listen now, and I will speak;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.'
My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.
Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes.
'Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.'
Job always amazes me in how he responds to situations. So humble and gentle towards the Lord despite all he has experienced, essentially losing everything he cherished in his life. Still, Job never once blamed God for his predicament. How powerful is his faith!
No matter what you're going through, though you may not understand now but everything happens for a reason in God's plan - a lesson to learn, a person to help, a habit to correct or a grudge to let go. It's all for the betterment of ourselves, and God disciplines those He loves. Don't give up and lose sight of the journey, for God makes everything beautiful in His time.
And you're beautiful and worth it.
